Last night at the Construction Marketing Awards Refresh won two awards! These were Best Social Media Campaign with our client Polypipe Building Products and Best Stakeholder / Internal Communications with Etex.
It was an incredible night representing the best in the construction sector. After a busy year, the industry has had to adapt to a variety of changes – from the introduction of more robust fire testing standards within Approved Document B to updates to Part L which will see the industry take further steps towards Net Zero – it was a night to reflect and celebrate all that has been achieved among the marketing teams that support this vital sector.
Laura Mashiter, managing director at Refresh, said: “We work with clients who have huge ambitions to be ahead of the curve and lead the sector, whether that’s safety for employees and end-users or supporting the supply chain as they adapt to changing regulations. To match their ambitions, they need campaigns that deliver.
“This is our bread and butter. We love nothing more than getting a brief for an ambitious client, deep diving into their audience (of which we have 14 years of experience with!) and assessing what will really resonate, what will get the cut through they need to be seen, heard and, ultimately, lead to critical collaborations with their customers.
“With Polypipe, we created an innovative campaign that saw us filming heating installer influencers in a boxing gym doing different challenges, such as eating a chilly, all with the key intention to breakdown Part L into digestible formats. While our campaign with Etex put the lightweight construction manufacturer’s people at their heart of a ‘documentary style’ series of videos to raise important awareness around safety in the workplace.
“These campaigns could not be more different but they represent our team’s diversity of thought and ability to understand what a client needs to succeed. For our campaigns to be recognised at the most prestigious awards for the sector is a testament to our team. As we plan for 2024, we can’t wait to continue on this high, going from strength to strength delivering campaigns that make a difference to our clients.
“Though we do have to say, we couldn’t do this without the trust of our clients and the collaboration with our creative partner Eight Engines who helped with the ideation and video production for both campaigns – thank you!”
The Construction Marketing Awards are one of the most prestigious awards in built environment marketing, showcasing the industry’s creativity, innovation and effectiveness in marketing.
Last night’s success follows Refresh’s 14th birthday on Monday this week and six wins at the CIPR Pride Awards in Manchester last week.
