Refresh accelerates its growth with two senior hires!

We’re growing! As you may have seen, we’ve had a number of new clients come on board recently. To keep up with this, we’ve also expanded our team, welcoming two new senior hires who have spent the last few months settling into life at Refresh.

In September, we welcomed senior account director, Rachel Ferguson. Rachel’s extensive experience in both agency and in-house roles has allowed her to hit the ground running. Rachel has worked on campaigns across a wide variety of sectors during her career, including built environment, sustainability, education, and health and social care, to name a few. Rachel has settled into the team seamlessly and has been drawing on her varied experience to provide strategic direction across the agency.

Rachel said on her appointment: “The team at Refresh has been working on some really fantastic campaigns, and it is down to their creativity and talent that has led to eight award wins since I joined! My first few months have allowed me to get stuck into the strategic elements of the job, as we plan for 2024. It’s going to be an exciting year, watch this space!”

Account director, George Evans-Jones also joined the team following a varied career, having worked with both national and international clients across a range of sizes, scopes, and sectors, from large scale NHS organisations with budgets in their billions, to scale-up technology companies looking to grow into new markets.

With both public and private sector experience, George brings several years of experience in public relations, public affairs, communications planning, and senior stakeholder management to the team. Since joining the team, George has been predominantly been using his expertise to strengthen our client portfolio and add value to our tech client campaigns, whilst growing the agency’s heathtech offering.

George said: “Refresh is the perfect environment for me. The team seamlessly balances maintaining its commitment to delivering for clients, with looking for new opportunities to grow and improve. I have experience from across public relations, campaigns, and public affairs, working with the public and private sector and from day one, I’ve felt heard and able to share my experiences to support others who are doing outstanding work. I’ve had a brilliant few first months here and I’m excited about the coming year ahead.”

The appointment of Rachel and George allows directors Laura and Lucy to evolve their own roles to focus on strategically growing the agency, with a key focus being on building on the success of the new office in London.
