This year we’re supporting Manchester Publicity Association (MPA) with its annual Native Creatives event to encourage and inspire the next generation of creative PR professionals.
Hosted by the MPA, this exciting day will take place on November 6th, 2024 at UA92 in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester, bringing together some of the most talented minds and creative agencies in the region for a one-day immersion into the world of Creative, Digital, and Media industries.
Native Creatives is a free educational and career-focused experience day for sixth formers, Higher Education college students, and university students interested in exploring what the creative industry has to offer.
This event will provide hands-on insights into the exciting possibilities in fields such as PR, Social, Creative & Advertising, Media, Animation & Gaming, Digital, TV & Film, and Video & Content.

The Refresh team will also be on the lookout for applicants for the autumn 2024 intake of our Young Talent Scheme. We’ll be on the hunt for someone with a passion for PR, marketing and communications, who can bring their own experiences in video production and editing, social media campaigns and content creation.
As a YTS team member, there will also be plenty of opportunities to develop and hone skills across the entire PR and marketing spectrum, including media relations, copywriting, effective communication, and client management. An excellent introduction to an exciting career!
What to expect at Native Creatives 2024
The event kicks off with two main sessions: a morning (10 AM – 2 PM) and an afternoon (2 PM – 6 PM), each packed with experiences designed to bring agency life into focus. Both sessions will start with a welcome presentation in the main auditorium, where students will get an introduction to the day ahead. From there, attendees will split into smaller groups and head to different “zones,” each representing a specific area of the industry.
In these zones, agency experts will showcase what they do daily, offering students a peek into real-world workflows, project examples, and insights into various roles. There will also have hands-on drop-in clinics where students can polish their CVs, get interview tips, and learn about apprenticeships, government-backed schemes, and other career options.

Refresh will be partnering with fellow PR agencies Smoking Gun PR and Roland Dransfield to deliver insights into public relations, social media, and all things influencers.

How to register for Native Creatives 2024
Registration is easy. Simply fill out the booking form on the MPA website. Arrive 20 minutes before your session start time (10 AM or 2 PM) to ensure a smooth check-in, and be prepared for an immersive, eye-opening experience in the world of Creative, Digital, and Media.
