Refresh is in contention for some of the biggest accolades in public relations in 2025: Being nominated for The PRmoment Awards!
Our name has appeared in not one, not two, but THREE categories for this year’s ceremony, with Refresh’s name appearing on the shortlist for:
- Best Social Media Campaign Award
- Best Use of Influencer Partnership(s)
- Community Engagement Campaign of The Year
One of the best-known, well-respected, and long-standing ceremonies in the region, the PRmoment Awards celebrate exceptional talent in the sector, with the winners being announced at the opulent ceremony at Manchester Hall in April.
We’ll be keeping our fingers crossed, but in the meantime, we wanted to share more about the campaigns that earned us a place on the shortlist(s)!
The Spirit of the Place with Accoya

In 2024, sustainable wood company Accoya came to Refresh with an ambition. They wanted to engage with architects, raise brand awareness, and create opportunities for direct contact with key stakeholders.
Refresh has worked with architects for almost fifteen years, so we knew how to build a campaign that would ‘speak their language’. This led us to the concept of ‘Genius Loci’: A philosophical brand of architectural phenomenology referring to an area’s distinctive atmosphere, roughly translating to ‘The Spirit of the Place’.
We proceeded to build a series discussing what the ‘Spirit of the Place’ means to architects (and how it impacts material and design choices). This was all underpinned by media activity.
Refresh interviewed architects about their passions, hot topics, channels they use, buying drivers, and whether they attend events. We also spoke to sector journalists and carried out desk research to assess the news agenda for topics that invited comment from Accoya.
‘The Spirit of the Place’ campaign not only helped Accoya build relationships with its key target audience, but also gave them a deeper understanding of how architects view heritage, culture, and ethical design. This, turn, has informed strategies, ways of working and how they engage with these professionals.
The ‘Spirit of the Place’ campaign is a proud achievement and we’re thrilled to learn it has been listed for two PRmoment Awards in 2025: Best Social Media Campaign Award and Best Use of Influencer Partnership.
A big thanks to Eight Engines for working their magic with the videos, which played an instrumental part in the overall strategy.
Supporting the next generation of engineers with the CIPHE

The Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE) reached out to Refresh for support with its communications strategy, hoping to spread word of their excellent work to a bigger audience.
We reviewed CIPHE’s membership demographics and discovered a need to target a younger audience and appeal to the next generation of engineers.
Refresh sought to modernise CIPHE’s communications, introduce new channels to their strategy, and build a genuine community around the organisation to drive membership.
This was achieved via a multifaceted community engagement strategy involving influencers, social media management, event organisation and content creation.
This campaign was the epitome of a successful community engagement project and has been recognised by PRmoment as a worthy candidate for Community Engagement Campaign of The Year.
CIPHE’s community is now bigger, more engaged and more knowledgeable than ever before – and we are proud to have supported an organisation that is doing so much wonderful work for the sector.
