We’ve been appointed by The Boys’ Brigade, one of the UK’s largest Christian Youth Organisations, to lead a PR project aiming to raise awareness of the work The Boys’ Brigade does in local communities nationwide.
The Boys’ Brigade was founded in Glasgow in 1883, and at the time, was the first voluntary uniformed youth movement in the world. The organisation provides opportunities for children and young people to learn, grow and discover in a safe, fun and caring environment, rooted in Christian faith.
The aim of the PR campaign is to raise awareness of the invaluable life skills which can be learnt at the groups, such as The Boys’ Brigade, while also highlighting the benefits of volunteering at uniformed youth organisations.
Young people who attend The Boys’ Brigade can enjoy a wide range of activities at the groups as well as making friends, developing skills, building confidence, independence and resilience, while also being encouraged to make a real difference in their communities.
This work is only possible through the help of volunteer leaders who generously give up their time to help the children and young people.
That’s where Refresh comes in.
Our mission as an agency is to help The Boys’ Brigade to raise awareness of the benefits of becoming a volunteer leader as well as highlighting the opportunities for members of the community.
“It’s shaping up to be a collaborative and creative campaign that we can’t wait to sink our teeth into!” concluded Laura Mashiter, managing director at Refresh.
