The Heating Installer Awards recognises the best in the industry and shines a light on all of the amazing projects that they undertake, as well as the installer’s passion for their role and customers.
To celebrate ten years of the Heating Installer Awards, the Refresh team and the past winners of the Heating Installer Awards headed to Amsterdam for a fun but educational trip. From meeting up with sponsors, to touring the Heineken factory, let’s take a look at what the trip entailed.
What we did in Amsterdam….
On the first day in Amsterdam the team and heating installers headed to Samsung’s training centre for presentations and quizzes from HIA sponsors such as IPG and Polypipe. The interactive training offered installers educational insights into the Heating Installer Awards’ sponsors. Then, the heating installers were treated to a meal followed by drinks.
The following day was started with a great breakfast, and then it was off to a tour of the Heineken factory with complementary beers for the Refresh team and the heating installers. Then, with a quick trip to the pub, it was then time to head back to the airport for the flight home. With glowing reviews of the trip all round, it is safe to say that the motto was definitely work hard, play hard.

The Heating Installer Awards is more than just awards….
If our trip to Amsterdam shows anything it’s that the Heating Installer Awards are more than just providing well-deserved awards, they’re about creating a community of installers.
The Heating Installer Awards seeks out talented individuals and provides recognition to the best of the best. It’s not a charity awards, it’s to showcase all of the brilliant engineers out there across the UK.
If you’re a heating installer and fancy entering the Heating Installer Awards, you have only until the end of February to do so. Head to the entry page to do so, or keep an eye out for the winner’s announcement in June at the InstallerShow in Birmingham.
