Office Manager required to join our growing team



The Opportunity:

We are looking for a proactive, resourceful and responsible office manager to organise and supervise all of the administrative activities to facilitate the smooth running of our Manchester based office.

 

The role includes carrying out a range of administrative, recruitment, book-keeping and IT-related tasks.

 

This position requires a high level of confidentiality, good IT knowledge and excellent organisational skills. You will be an excellent communicator who can engage with all levels of staff, suppliers and other members of the management.

 

You will have previous experience as an Office Manager or a senior administrator with a confident and articulate manner coupled with professionalism.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Using a range of office software, including email, spreadsheets and databases
  • Liaising with suppliers to calculate and compare costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value for money
  • Developing, implementing and overseeing administrative systems, such as timesheet management, holiday records and stock-keeping
  • Maintaining the condition of the office and arranging for necessary repairs
  • Assisting with the monthly accounts including invoicing, recharging, bank records, payroll and credit control
  • Managing filing systems
  • Recruitment including organising adverts, collating CVs, assisting with shortlisting and setting up interviews
  • Overseeing the start up of new staff including organizing the first week's itinerary, plus setting up their computers and telephone systems
  • Overseeing compliance and company procedures/policies and ensuring they are observed
  • All other aspects of office and general administration

 Your Skills and Qualifications:

·        Qualification in Business Administration (desirable)

·        Demonstrate clear and concise verbal and written skills

·        Previous relevant and proven experience

·        Strong organisational and IT skills

·        Excellent attention to detail

·        Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel & Outlook)

·        Proactive with the ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines

·        Ability to handle sensitive data professionally and maintain confidentiality

 

Hours:

15-18 hours per week.  Time and days to be discussed.

We offer 25 days holiday per year (pro rata), flexible working conditions and necessary training in PR-specific related tasks.  Our offices, open 9.00am - 5.30pm, are a five minute walk from Piccadilly train station and Piccadilly Gardens, making it easily accessible by car or public transport.
