Are you an Account Executive looking for a new challenge? Get in touch!

Working in a fantastic location in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, we’re a strong team, proud to do PR a little differently.  We’re a fun, friendly team offering a more flexible approach to work.

We’re looking for a confident and articulate person with a passion for PR who will relish the chance to join the team as an account executive working across a range of B2B and consumer accounts in the built environment, food and drink and tech sectors. Our fast-growing client base ranges from cutting-edge business start-ups to national companies, across both private and not for profit sectors.

You’ll have already gained valuable PR agency experience with at least one year spent working at account executive level, meaning you’ll hit the ground running and will have already proved that you are great at preparing sector specific copy and developing and maintaining great relationships with journalists to secure the best possible coverage for your clients. You’ll work closely with account managers to ensure we are delivering consistently for our clients, yet will be able to use initiative, working independently most of the time.

More broadly, we’re looking for someone filled with energy and enthusiasm who is proactive, persistent and methodical in their approach with a real eye for detail – you may even pride yourself on being a perfectionist! You are considerate and supportive; a real team player with the ability to remain calm and considered when faced with new or pressurised situations.

As a fast-growing business, we can offer you the unique opportunity to contribute to the direction of the organisation.  What’s more, we’re dedicated to helping our people grow and achieve their potential through The Refresh Academy – a 6-month programme of structured training and development, created and delivered by experienced PR practitioners and expert trainers.  This unrivalled programme provides you with all the key skills that will help you to become a highly effective account executive and progress your career with Refresh.

Refresh PR launches volunteering scheme

With today being the International Day of Charity, we thought it the ideal opportunity to launch our new volunteering scheme.

As you may have noticed if you’ve followed us for a while, we’re passionate and proud of our Manchester roots and so the volunteering scheme actively encourages our team members to harness their skills and expertise, to give back to the local community and to add value to worthy organisations. Our scheme aims to empower team members to scope out opportunities that utilise and develop their skills whilst having a positive impact on others.

So, how will this work? We’ll allow each member of the Refresh PR team an entitlement of two days paid time to be spent on volunteering activity. Once the volunteering has taken place, we will encourage their experiences and learnings to be shared with the wider team.

The reception to the launch of the scheme has been absolutely brilliant, with every member of the team keen to get involved and give back. Account Director Lucy and Senior Account Executive Ben are going to get the ball rolling by putting on a workshop for local students which will highlight the diversity of digital careers and teach them how to produce social media content for businesses. This workshop will be delivered in conjunction with Refresh PR’s client Manchester Digital, as part of its Digital Future’s initiative.

You will be able to see how the workshop goes, and check out all subsequent volunteering by following our social media channels @RefreshPR.
